Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

Living without a full set of teeth is harder than most people expect. The challenges go beyond appearance, and they show up every single day in ways that wear on you. You are not alone in feeling this way.
  • Avoiding foods you love
  • Hiding your smile in photos
  • Dentures that slip and shift
  • Pulling back in social situations
  • Bone loss changing your face
  • Missing the confidence you once had
  • If you recognized yourself in that list, know that a permanent solution exists. You deserve a smile that works as hard as you do.

    What Happens When You Wait?

  • Bone loss speeds up

Every month without implants, the jawbone continues to shrink, making future treatment more complex.

  • Fewer options remain

As bone density decreases over time, some patients no longer qualify for standard implant placement.

  • Treatment costs rise

The longer tooth loss goes unaddressed, the more preparatory work may be needed before implants can be placed.

  • Daily life gets harder

Avoiding meals, muffling your laugh, and skipping gatherings becomes the new normal without a solution.

  • Facial structure shifts

Continued bone loss reshapes the lower face, affecting how you look and feel over months and years.

  • Denture problems compound

Ill-fitting appliances create sore spots and frustration that worsen as the jawbone changes shape beneath them.

  • Acting now leads to a simpler path, better outcomes, and a smile you can enjoy sooner.

    What Are All-On-X Dental Implants?

All-On-X is a full-arch restoration system that replaces an entire upper or lower set of teeth using four to six dental implants anchored directly into the jawbone. The implants are strategically angled to take advantage of available bone, which means many patients skip the need for bone grafting entirely. The final result is a fixed prosthetic arch of teeth that stays in place, functions like natural teeth, and does not come out.

At The Smile Company, our approach to All-On-X dental implants in Greenville, SC combines 3D imaging and precise surgical planning to customize every detail before a single implant is placed. Dr. Jacob has placed implants for over three decades, and our in-house lab allows us to fabricate and fit your restoration with a level of quality control you simply cannot get elsewhere.

  • Uses four to six implants to support a full arch of teeth
  • In-house lab and 3D imaging for precise, custom-fit results
  • Studies show All-On-4 implant success rates of 94.8% per patient at five years (source: peer-reviewed implant research)
  • Which All-On-X Option Is Right for You?

Not every patient is the same, and neither is every All-On-X treatment. The right option depends on your bone density, the condition of your remaining teeth, and the long-term results you want. We will help you understand the differences so you can make a confident, informed decision.

    Is All-On-X Right for You?

One of the most common questions patients bring to their first consultation is whether they qualify. All-On-X was designed for a wide range of patients dealing with significant tooth loss, and many people who feel uncertain are surprised to learn they are excellent candidates.
  • Lost most or all of your teeth in one or both arches
  • Currently wearing dentures that slip, click, or cause discomfort
  • Been told bone grafting would be required before implant treatment
  • Want a fixed solution that does not come in and out each day
  • Ready to eat, speak, and smile without limitations again
  • Not Sure If You Qualify?

Candidacy depends on several individual factors, and the only way to know for certain is through a proper evaluation. A consultation gives you a clear picture of your options and a personalized recommendation for your specific situation.

What to Expect with All-On-X Dental Implants

Many patients tell us their biggest concern going in was not knowing what the process actually looked like. Once we walk through it together, that anxiety fades quickly. From your first appointment to your final smile, every step is designed around your comfort and confidence.
    1

    Consultation and Planning

You will meet with Dr. Jacob for a thorough evaluation of your oral health, bone structure, and goals. Using 3D imaging, we capture precise measurements of your jaw so that implant placement can be planned with accuracy before anything is done. You will leave this appointment knowing exactly what to expect.

    2

    Tooth Removal and Implant Placement

On your treatment day, any remaining failing teeth are removed and four to six implants are placed during the same appointment. IV sedation is available for patients who prefer a fully relaxed experience. Dr. Jacob and our team work carefully so you feel only pressure, not pain, throughout the process.

    3

    Temporary Arch Placement

Before you leave our office, a temporary prosthetic arch is secured to your implants so you walk out with a functional, natural-looking smile the same day. This temporary set allows you to eat and speak comfortably while your implants go through the healing process.

    4

    Healing and Integration

Over the following three to six months, the implants fuse with your jawbone through a natural process that creates a permanent, stable foundation. We monitor your progress at follow-up visits and are available throughout this phase for any questions.

    5

    Final Arch Placement

Once full integration is confirmed, your custom-fabricated final arch is placed. Designed and crafted in our in-house lab, your permanent prosthesis is built to look, feel, and function like natural teeth for decades to come.

Ready to Replace Every Tooth in a Single Day?

Your All-On-X Recovery: What to Expect

Most patients are genuinely surprised by how manageable the recovery is. Healing after All-On-X is a process, but it is a predictable one, and our team stays with you every step of the way.

    First 24-48 Hours

Some swelling and mild soreness around the treated areas is completely normal and expected. Rest, soft foods, and any over-the-counter or prescribed comfort medication will keep you comfortable. Most patients find the first two days easier than they anticipated, particularly with IV sedation carrying over into a relaxed recovery start.

    First 1-2 Weeks

Swelling continues to reduce and soft-tissue healing progresses steadily. You will stick to softer foods during this period, but your temporary arch means you are still eating and functioning with teeth. Most patients return to regular daily routines within a few days of treatment.

    Long-Term Healing

The implants continue integrating with the jawbone over three to six months. This phase involves no discomfort for most patients. Follow-up visits allow us to confirm everything is progressing on schedule and make any adjustments needed before your final arch is placed.

Every patient heals at their own pace, and your aftercare plan will be personalized to your specific situation. Our team is accessible throughout your entire healing process with clear guidance at every stage.

All-On-X vs. Implant-Supported Dentures vs. Traditional Dentures

Several options exist for replacing an entire arch of teeth, and each one takes a different approach. All-On-X represents the most fixed, stable solution available, but understanding how it compares helps you make the choice that fits your life and goals.
Factor All-On-X Implant-Supported Dentures Traditional Dentures
Stability Fixed, never moves Snaps onto implants, very stable Rests on gums, may shift
Removable No Yes, removable for cleaning Yes, removed daily
Bone preservation Yes, full stimulation Yes, partial stimulation No, bone loss continues
Chewing ability Near full function Strong, improved over traditional Reduced, approximately 20-25%
    Appearance Natural-looking, custom-crafted Natural-looking Natural-looking
Maintenance Brush and floss like natural teeth Remove and clean daily Remove and soak daily
Adjacent teeth impact None required None required None required
Treatment time Single surgical appointment Multiple appointments No surgery required
Initial investment Higher Moderate Lower upfront
Long-term value High, designed to last decades High Lower, replacement needed over time
All-On-X delivers the most stable, bone-preserving, low-maintenance result of the three options. For patients who want something that feels permanent, functions fully, and requires minimal daily management, it is the most comprehensive solution available. Some patients are better served by implant-supported or traditional dentures based on health factors or personal preference, and we respect that. A consultation will help clarify what makes the most sense for you.

    All-On-X FAQs

You have questions, and you deserve real answers. Below are the questions we hear most often from patients considering All-On-X dental implants in Greenville, SC, answered in plain language.

Am I a candidate for All-On-X even if I have been told I have low bone density?

Many patients who were previously told they lacked sufficient bone for traditional implants are still good candidates for All-On-X. The angled implant placement technique is specifically designed to work with available bone and often avoids the need for bone grafting altogether. A 3D scan at your consultation gives us the information we need to know for certain.
From your first consultation to placement of your permanent arch, the full process typically spans six to nine months. The surgical appointment itself is completed in a single day, and you leave with a functional temporary set of teeth. The remaining time is the healing phase while your implants fully integrate with the jawbone.
Yes. A temporary arch is secured to your implants before you leave the office on the day of your procedure. You walk out with a complete set of teeth and can eat soft foods that same evening.
Most patients report feeling pressure rather than pain during the procedure. IV sedation is available and widely used, which means many patients have little to no memory of the appointment itself. Post-procedure discomfort is typically mild and manageable with prescribed or over-the-counter comfort medication.
With proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, the implants themselves are designed to last for decades. The prosthetic arch may need attention or replacement over time, but the underlying implant structure is built for long-term durability.
All-on-4 is one version of the All-On-X concept, using exactly four implants. All-On-X refers to the broader category, which may use four, six, or more implants depending on your anatomy and clinical needs. We determine the right number for your specific situation during your evaluation.
Care is straightforward. You brush twice daily, floss along the gumline, and attend regular check-up appointments. There are no adhesives, no soaking, and no removal required. The routine is very similar to caring for natural teeth.
The implants stimulate the jawbone the way natural tooth roots do, which helps preserve bone volume over time. Traditional dentures do not provide this stimulation, which is why bone loss tends to continue after tooth extraction without implants.
Yes. We work with several financing partners to help make treatment accessible regardless of your budget. Our team will walk you through the options available at your consultation so you can plan with confidence.
Dental anxiety is completely understandable, and you are in good hands. We offer IV sedation administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist, which allows many patients to sleep comfortably through the entire procedure. We also take time before any treatment to answer every question you have so there are no surprises.

    What Our Patients Say

    What Our Patients Say

Had all on 4 top and bottom Monday April 6th at 11and was back at work the 7th with just an ibuprofen for mild inflammation. I am not good with mouth pain but literally was very minimal and would be fine with nothing. Dr. Jacob and the whole team are like a family and it shows. I went to four places in person before chosing the Smile Company. The other places I felt like a number and at Smile Company I felt at home and that the whole team cared about me. Best decision I ever made. Invest in yourself, you won’t regret it!

I went into the office and spoke with the receptionist about getting my teeth pulled and putting the implants back in. She told me they would give me an appointment and Dr. Jacob would sedate me and I would leave with teeth. All of the assistants and staff are extremely kind and caring. They’re Great Professionals. The office and dental rooms are nice and clean. They have all become like a part of my family. Dr.Jacob is incredible!! 💙 He sat down , giving me his entire attention and listened to me explain how I wanted my teeth to look. He’s such a sweet blessing. He wants to make certain that I’m satisfied. That’s not always an easy task. He is a patient, kind and hard working man. I’ll admit that I can be very “picky” at times ( I’m a perfectionist 🤫😁). When I was younger, I didn’t really like going to the Dentist. I get nice compliments on my teeth and eyes everywhere that I go . Now, I love going to the dentist. They’re so friendly and cordial plus I get a hug in return for every hug I give away. That’s a Big WinWin! Thank You Dr.Jacob!!! My new teeth have given my smile back to me once more, as well as confidence . I just love them , they’re so pretty. Dr. Jacob & his staff are all sweet, precious and professional. They cheerfully work hard to please their patients. Thank you so much❣️ I highly recommend. “ The Smile Company ”
