Dr. Thorpe A. Jacob has dedicated over three decades to changing lives through dental implant treatment. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1982 and earning his doctorate in Dentistry in 1986, he served as a Naval officer for three years, providing dental care to Marines at Parris Island and the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, South Carolina. During his service, he trained alongside specialists across every area of dentistry, including 18 months in oral surgery. After completing his military commitment, Dr. Jacob established his practice in South Carolina and placed his first dental implant in 1991. He has since pursued advanced implant training across the United States, Europe, and South America, building the depth of knowledge that patients count on today.


As the lead implantologist at The Smile Company in Greenville, SC, Dr. Jacob’s passion centers on providing full arch implant retained teeth in the safest, most efficient, and most affordable way possible. He has also mentored and trained nine dentists within the organization to become proficient in implant dentistry, expanding the practice’s ability to serve the millions of patients who need this care. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and you’ll likely find him on or near a golf course most weekends. He’s also an avid traveler who takes every opportunity to see the world.
